Daily Mini-Devotion

Bible Verse Of The Day:  Now concerning love of the brothers and sisters, you do not need to have anyone write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another.  I Thessalonians 4:9  RSV

Quotes Of The Day:     People may forget what you say, but they never forget how you made them feel.” - Maya Angelou

Today’s Chuckle:     Two neighbors were talking, one said to the other, “I feel like I shouldn’t vote for either of the candidates because I don’t know either one.  His neighbor replied, “I don’t know how to vote either, I know both of them.”

           One Liner:

When a man marries a woman, they become one but the trouble starts when they try to decide which one.

It’s time to pack shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.  Our goal is 125. This is a mission project that everyone can still be a part of, even with COVID-19. You may select to fill your box with your purchases using the guidelines or you may use Build a Shoebox Online where you can select toys and other items, attach notes and photos. To order on line: Click Here  https://sampur.se/2YWonqK  Eastlawn will receive credit for the boxes built on line and we’ll be able to see the number.

If packing a traditional shoebox, Sidney Carol (228-218-2680) will have boxes available Sunday between 9 and 9:30 am in the ministry center and after the worship service. The $9 postage for each boxes has been prepaid by a church member.

Mac's Book Now Available

Prior to his death, Mac McIntosh compiled a collection of his writings and they have now been published in a book “The Unexpected Journeys of Mr. McIntosh”. You can purchase a copy of his book by contacting Faye at 228 217 9468 or by email at mcintoshfaye@hotmail.com. The cost is $15.00 and Faye will be donating $2.25 to the Church for each book sold. Mac and his teaching were a great inspiration to so many of us here at Eastlawn and this book is a perfect example of his faith and his love that he shared with us in the past.
